Collective Illusion

is an installation-performance uniting 7 artists from visual art.

Actors, dancers, cameraman, they interact live on sounds, music, images and lights.

The 5 performers’ places can be swooped, not the one of the images creator neither the outside eye.

Myths usually imply the existence of other worlds (visible and invisible). It is usually used, as an allegoric theatrical context from which emerges pictorial and literary of abstract and philosophical thoughts.

Salome’s myth is the starting point for us to bring into play a device, which questions the act of ‘seeing’ and its possible stakes and consequences.

The set design play-ground is composed of: mirrors, veil, white sheets, big plastic tarpaulins…

The performers free their bodies and voices to explore a space for intensified impulses.

IN 2009, Collective Illusion has been offered 3 residencies in Paris  and aims to keep working and showing the work in progress in some contemporary venues for mixed arts and new performances.
